Special Operations

Awaiting new imageAlbion Special Operations unit was formed as a result of approaches by various agencies, both local and international, to fulfil contracts which required high levels of pilot skill, as well as the ability to provide and maintain specialised aircraft and technical backup for the aircraft and crews.

Special Operations contracts include: the provision of aircraft and crews for HM Coastguard operations such as search and rescue, anti-drugs, anti-smuggling, patrol and fisheries protection; the provision of crews and aircraft to work closely with national and international agencies in response to marine ecological disasters such as oil-spillage and pollution; the airlifting of supplies to oil-rigs and accommodation platforms and the ferrying of lighthouse maintenance crews on behalf of Trinity House.

Many contracts are of a highly sensitive nature, these are rarely commercial in aspect or contracting authority and will often require pilots to fly their aircraft into some of the most extreme and inhospitable weather conditions in the world... Service with Albion Special Operations is definetly not for the faint-hearted!  Read more...
